its somethin to do with the foam or somethin they used with the seats, a lot of mk4s smell like crayons, mine doesnt

edit: AFAIK it's not the seats, it's what they used on the carpets. it was some spray that after a while gave off the odor. Nothing a few scented trees cant take care of though.

I have an '01 wolfsburg and it smelled like crayons when I got it real bad. I got some air fresheners and drove with the windows down a lot and it went away. I can smell it when my car sits in the heat for a while though..
I just thought the previous owner had little kids and there were crayons stuck in the seat somewhere. haha.

everyone is always asking me if i paid extra for the crayon smell and of course i say yes...the only other thing i need for my vr6 jetta is a baby on board sticker plastered in my rear window and im good to go

My friends 01 Wolf smells like this, it's not going away. He has had his for 2 years. He keeps the windows open every chance he gets, does not help at all. I like the clurean crayon.
