Let me preface my saying that I was satisfied by the outcome of the show. But I am surprised more people haven't posted pics of the A1's at the show. There were some very nice ones in addition to mine, and I've seen a lot of a3's and 4's....I thought my car would be more of a show stopper than a show winner..But hey- who's complaining- post 'em if you got em...let's make this an A1 waterwagens post thread......parking lot, show, gas station, show 'em all.

Yah, what's the deal with no pics of the people's choice car. Not even pics of that Mk1 Jetta or the Mk1 Jetta G60.
No A1 love I guess.

me: noone-I built it myself...
DG: my friend had one just like it......
me: umm. ok. [back to toweling]
I think my jaw was on the ground the entire time......

Sorry Jeff, these are the best pics I could get with all the people crowded around. I wanted to get a pic of your tail lights.

So, did you have to weld in the the euro tail panel for those lights??
Didn't manage to get pics of the Jetta or the Caddy as I was called away for judging.

Whoops,
Forgot some...

I love this Scirocco. I take a pic of it at every show I see it too. I've got pics of it at nearly every show since I got my digicam.

nope- i heavily modified the existing rear panel to fit the euro's. In retrospect- the panel would have been a lot easier

I think the owner of the Black Rocco in question is sometimes on the vortex. I know that a few of his buddies show up from time to time as well. Someone will know, and hopefully they will see this. The owner's name is Ken if you see him at a later race/show.
There is A1 love out there.

BTW, that is a funny conversation that bluehare had. I don't know that many people that would build a sweet A1 Rab 16V G60 and then just sell it. Let alone do I know any true A1 enthusiast that would just buy a finished car, except for special circumstances...

I bought a finished car (finished by the factory in 1984) and then took it all apart...
