Rollin' on steelies "trashy" ??

Heh, took off the (gay) hubcaps that came with the car, cleaned up the steelies and have been rollin' on them for the past couple of days.
Parents said it looks trashy, and goes along with my "ghetto" muffler (which needs replacing, stock, just 'dead').
Whadda ya think? Steelies trashy or no?

It would look much better on 15" OE steelies.

there is nothing wrong with it, they look better than caps and they are a step between OE wheels and high class rims. Mabey he wants to spend his money on things that will actualy help is car perform before he decks it out. Ricers do it for the same reason Dub tuners do it, because it looks better than hub caps.
oh yeah, and don't listen to what your parents say about your car. My Mom told me my Jetta looked "cute" when I first got it. I was just thinking "mom this is not a cute car it is a cool car"

but I just stayed quiet.

Oh and another thing, paint your dust caps black, it will look less "getto" that way.

what does it matter? they do their job regardless of being trashy or not.

I'm rolling on steelies too because i lost a Hubcap. I dont think it look to bad.. It does the job untill i can afford my TSW VX-1's

I guess I should feel fortunate with how my Mom is. Although she hates the fact that I drive a sports car and always go to fast, she's always begging me to drive my car. And she's even told me she's raced people when she borrows it.
