I'm here in Central Florida, and have had a few VW's before, but in the Corrado, the after run fan seems to run the longest. This doesn't honestly bother me, but I'm curious if other folk's fans run for a long while before kicking off. We are talking a good 5-10 minutes here. After the fan shuts off the battery still has good charge, but I would just hate to leave it, come back in the morning, and hear the fan slowly spinning the battery voltage away. I'm thinking the engine temp coupled with the ambient temp(95ish lately) is just putting a lot of stress on the sensor and causing the fan to stay on. But I could be wrong, so I thought I'd ask.

Re: (ThaCorradoKid)

Yeah I know it's not on a timer...I have researched that the sensor is at the back of the head yea? And even on G60's there is an auxiliary water pump? That I did not know.

Re: (pennies earned)

SLC's (not sure about G60's) had a recall on the unit controlling the aux. pump. There were some other lil' things involved w/ the recall, too. I believe the main purpose was to resolve issues like this. If you haven't already, have a dealer run your VIN just to make sure you don't have anything open. It's a good thing to do w/ any car you buy!
