Re: S4 vs. 225hp TT (bobby_t1)

IMO really depends upon the look and practicality you want, I wouldnt have put these two as a comparable choice really. S4 is bigger more room, more boot, TT is more stylish, compact, what do you want from the car?
I manage on a daily basis with a TTR and never have any issues. Love the drive, and I love the look on a porsche drivers face when he realises that he just aint going to keep up
Down side really is lack of space for more than 2.

Re: S4 vs. 225hp TT (Abel-TT)

Isn't there a difference of like 10k between the S4 and the TT. The personally like the S4 just because you can pack the kids in the car with a trunk full of groceries and still kick ass. The TT does get better milage though.
Chipped S4 290 hp, 335 ft/lbs @ 14.5psi
Chipped 225TT 265 hp, 280ft/lbs @ 14.5 psi

Re: S4 vs. 225hp TT (GTIDane)

I looked at both 225TT and S4, for me the advantage of the TT was it had no room for kids in back (except in emergency). With the coupe seats folded down I can easily put my bike in back and luggage for two for the weekend. In stock form I also preferred the more edgy feel of the TT. I have installed a GIAC X chip, Jetex exhaust and an EVO intake; the car felt great with just the chip and exhaust but it really needed the intake to breath at the top end. Before the intake the pulling power would noticeably fall off at 4750rpm now it just keeps pulling all the way to red line! I have not taken it to 4 wheel DYNO but in theory it should be making something like 285HP, if X chip can make the power it claims. Now if I can just get rid of annoying toilet-flushing sound whenever the Diverter Valve opens.
