Re: (20AE-2306)

Jeez guys we know it looks cool by now, but I'm trying to find out if there is a defect, could you try to save the cheers and toasts for after? I don't mean to be rude but this topic was archived for months and since I posted this question, it's already fallen a new page behind from all the gee wiz'es.

Fits good but is super high off the ground (the front) much more than factory.

I don't know if that's true because apparently the OEM grilles fit (with a tiny bit of massaging) so where's all the lost vertical space? Above the grilles?
Also having it off the ground is a good thing if you don't want to crack the thin bottom center area as so many OEM R32 bumpers have (virtually any that have had even a mild head-on fender bender have snapped in half at the bottom) - I can't imagine a dropped car would do too well up against a cement tombstone at the head of a parking space (if the bumper was the lowest part).
My old MK4 bumper met many of those cement blocks and though it sounded painful, it didn't actually break.
Anyhow, here's my real concern...

So I bought this same eBay R32 front bumper and today I dropped it off at the paint shop and they called me an hour later to say there was some wavyness in the area by the headlights, did anyone who bought this bumper notice any wavyness anywhere? I was thinking of putting some metal behind it to streighten it out, and I just wanted to check if anyone had an issue like this, and what you did, if anything.

Only thing I wonder about, is if it is a little tall (off the ground).

It certainly is... works out for cars without sideskirts. Picked up one of these from one of our distributors. Love the fitment as it has OEM mounting brackets but the fact that it sits just a tad bit too high was enough for me to get rid of it and look for an OEM bumper.

It was not my case. I did painted the bumper myself without any issue http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
