alright i'm putting in a volvo oil cooler in the next week or so and I figured while i had the front end apart i would fix my a/c....
heres my question....i don't have a way of evacuating the system myself....sooooo when i put the new reciever/dryer on i won't be able to evacuate the system right away....basically what i'm asking is should i run down to an a/c place the second i put the car back together and have them evacuate the system before the new dryer absorbs too much moisture and such....or is it not so much of a rush and the dryer will be ok for some time with the system unevacuated.....
i have a feeling everyone is gonna say get that evacuated as soon as physically possible.

the dryer will start absorbing moisture right away, you are better off getting it done right away. A few days should be fine, bit any more will just be a waste of your money for that new dryer.

Re: A/C Question (Ikedu)

yeah, thanks...i figured that, basically it means i'm gonna have to call and get a placed lined up before hand, by the way I was planning on going with some hydrocarbon epa approved r-12 equivalent, do most a/c places stock this, or am i gonna have to order some online?
