Your budget - $59,999 Max.
Give me a list of the cars you would consider if you had a coupon to buy one car, new or used, up to this total price.
Coupons cannot be traded for cash, and excess value will applied towards a lifetime car wash coupon. (I.e. you can spend much less than the Max amount, but you won't receive the balance in cash or credit.)
You can't add mods with the coupon, but if you find a modified used car, that is acceptable.
(AWD, RWD, FWD are acceptable, as well as manual, automatic, and manu-matic).

Re: $50K Sports Car (roadsters, coupes, and GTs included) Challenge (PsyberVW)

Walking into an "exotic" car dealership, I noticed a used Viper ACR was cheaper than a new Boxster with a few options. So the debate with my british co-worker began!
off topic -
This guy cracks me up. He bought an Audi TT because he needed "a good family car. The Boxster didn't have back seats for the kids."
He said this with a straight face, just as serious as can be.
While I fully understood where he was coming from, the SUV crowd went ballistic, listing every permutations of C/SUV and Minivan or wagon which would have been a better "family car" for the price.

Under $60k....
I think Porsche and Lotus make some stuff that might fit the job (whatever the job is).

Exige.
Only a 911 would cross my mind instead, if I needed a DD.

Oh man -- we think exactly alike.
I typed 911 (used) and Exige (new) before I edited myself with the more general Porsche and Lotus post. Identical thought at identical time. Weird.

I just found these in a few minutes.
2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 -
$59,900

2002 Dodge Viper ACR $56,900

I'm sure finding an Exige wouldn't be out of the question either. So those are my picks.

piney - I really can't believe my eyes when I see what the ACRs are going for. In a couple more years, a turbo supra will cost more!

All you guys picking the lotus - have you driven one? An Elise, or Exige? You'd really take that over a 993 turbo or a Viper ACR?
I've seen "modified" 996 Turbos going for 49K...

I did. And if you want mine, you can have it for $59,999. Such a fun and stupid little car. I love it dearly but wish I had never bought it.
A Porsche would have been 100x more useful....and only 10x less entertaining. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

Car of my dreams: 1988 Ferrari 328 GTS. Should run between 50 and 60 used.
Sorry for all the pictures. I just love this car to death. One day, one day far away, I will own a Ferrari.

I just want one. They aren't the fastest, lightest, or most nimble car for the money. But I love sports sedans, AWD would be nice, 6-speed manual, and an awesome V8 exhaust note from the Audi 4.2L.
I love this color blue, alcantara inserts, and with the exterior DTM package, it looks so awesome. Perfect for me. The Audi USA site doesn't update the picture to show the exterior package.
