I have been waiting to get the moneys in order to drop my dub, but I am wondering about others who live in snowy climates. I got stuck in the snow on roads last winter at stock height! Anyone have problems getting stuck in the snow while low?

Snowplow stylz.
I'm going to run my Koni's all the way down this winter, since I just put them on about a month ago. But I made sure to lube them up in case I want to put it back up after a bit, and I have a heated garage to do it all in. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

keep a shovel in the back

I always do, I used to live in Central NY, and went to college for 4 years in NW PA. I live for snow

There are no performance gains, your ride will be ****tier, you're going go damage your valences, increase your chances of getting stuck, waste you money and regret ever even thinking about it. Just don't.

Don't go drive unless the roads are plowed.

You would have had to drive in snow 8"+ to get stuck at stock ride height.

Here in MT we are lucky to have the roads plowed at all. I-90 is sometimes done by 5pm rush...
We don't salt or use chemicals either.
Anyway - my DD is lowered 1.5" all around and I haven't had any issues, but I pay attention and use the same roads all the time. If it snowed a lot we will take the family truckster instead.
I know guys in my club in Bozeman, MT who drive in worse conditions and I don't think they have any issues either.
If your roads are good in the summer, they will be the same with snow - and snow is easily pushed around

I don't really think the lower ride height effects anything, except for hitting big chunks maybe.
Avoiding the salt is a good idea though.

Yeah, kinda like whatever I hit in the road this morning, cleared the lip, but not the subframe/oilpan, luckily it was smallish

I'm gonna love Ohio, land of no salt. NY was a killer on my cars before, unless you can wash them once a week.

Well being on springs has its disadvantages...so I take my front lip off in the winter

Wait... what?

I live in Minnesota and for the most part during winter the Norther part of Minnesota.... I know what you're talking about getting stuck at stock ride height, did it all last winter as well http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif And now this winter is gonna be worse because I lowered my car but to counter that I got some Longbeaches with snow tires this year though http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif I guess we'll have to see how this plays out Cotton

not to mention its fun seeing the path the oil pan leaves in the snow lol

I'm not worried about the snow. Not a single bit.
The problem in MD is, once it's finished snowing, it melts, and then freezes solid. That's what's going to rip my oil pan off unless I crank up the coils a bit. And I don't want to scuff up my freshly painted valance.
