well my topic pretty much sums it up.... i got into my first car accident today
Image
i'm pretty upset, i've never been in one at all, and i finally buy my own car, my dream car, and i get into an accident. to sum up what happened i was coming off the 101 turning right onto tatum to get to work, and a lady in front of me rolled out like she was going, so i looked left, saw that it was all clear and continued rolling... and then i hit her... apperently she decided not to go... her car is completly fine a little bit of paint damge, it was two old ladys and they were being really sweet about the whole thing, they dont even think they're going to get it fixed, and if they do, they said they would get a quote and call me, because my decductable is probably more, and that i could just pay so my insurance doesnt go up... the cabys front bumper is pushed in on the passanger side, and the fender got pushed back some. i dont know how much its going to be to fix it... i ended up geting two tickets, one for going not being able to avoid a collision, and one because i didn't have my drivers licence on me.... my neck is hurting like a bitch but fortunatly i was on the way home from the doctor who had just given me muscle relaxents for my neck and head for other reasons... so yea to basically sum it up....

Oh well that was a while ago

Re: :( (Vdubgirl)

Hey Nicole,
I was hit earlier this year, so I can relate. The car (an 02 Honda Civic) was practically totalled and I did sustain some minor injuries. The moral of this story ... at least YOU are ok. The cabby can be fixed, and you won't even be able to tell it was ever damaged. Cars can always be replaced. Take care of yourself for now, then concentrate on the VW.

Re: :( (spongebob_squarepants)

didnt you just get that ride?
sorry to hear it but at least your ok and at least the other people were coo about it. i got rear ended the other day at a red light thank god that we were stopped when he took off at the green and it didnt do anything to my car but the guy in the other car acted like nothing happened and tried to ignore me when i asked him what was up...anyway
sorry about your ride

you seemed pretty happy about it when you posted all the pics on here

Re: :( (VRseis)

at least you're okay! that's the main thing. we were rear-ended in the beetle, and the kid didn't have insurance, but there was only a scratch and everyone was okay. so I can't complain too much. hope you are feeling well!

Re: :( (bassboy)

At least you can go to court for the "no driver license" ticket and get it removed and go to traffic school for the otehr ticketr (if you havn't had a ticket in the last 2 years) and your insurance won;t go up. Hope everything works out ok.

Re: :( (redcult)

spent the night trying to take the front bumper off... those screws are tight as hell! i'm beginning to wonder if the screws have ever been taken out before... i got 3 of them out.. had to take out the battery to get to one... tried to get at it first from under the car... but it was a no go... still cant get it out, ripped apart my hands in the process.... *sigh* oh well... i'll try again tomorrow when i have some more light...
