I'd be more inclined to fit a small spacer than grind that much off the caliper. A 5mm (3/16") spacer would do the job http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I have done it before on my race corrado to fit wheels. Shaving works fine, theres ton of material there...just remember to paint over the freshly ground areas, otherwise it rusts real fast. Good luck http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
3 years on shaved calipers... and i bet ya i took a good 1/4" off too
roman was one of the first people to have kt1's and he had to shave his down as well
get a spare and slice it up to see how much room you have to cut if you really need to.
Isn't part of the bulk so it can handle the heat also though? I'd worry about that if it was on the front especially.
