yeah and during the h20 weekend too. actually during h20, i was told by calvin, "i almost received them before leaving the house but they didn't get there in time". i guess they are still on a UPS truck somewhere...

if your not happy with your subscription, ask for a refund.
Calvin is a stand up guy and knows there are issues. He's trying to resolve them. Either stick it out and support, or get your money back and be done with it.

if your not happy with your subscription, ask for a refund.
Calvin is a stand up guy and knows there are issues. He's trying to resolve them. Either stick it out and support, or get your money back and be done with it.

Sir, I never signed the subsciption. The two issues I have, were bought personally (one from Calvin during 2006 h20, and the other one from Dubwerks in IL). I was interested in issue 6 since there were a few Chicago peeps in there, whose cars I like.
If he is a stand up guy, like you make him out to be, I am sure he would rather speak for him self, unless you get paid to represent him on Vortex. If not, then this doesn't concern you.

Don't be a dick... Like Lee said, Calvin's working on resolving the issues... I know another person has joined up with the mag to help out... so hopefully things will be back on track and they can grow and be a good magazine that supports the passion that we all share for vw's!
It's not like issue 6 disappeared... it will be out when it's out and those that are supposed to be pictured, like the midwest peeps and dubsinthevalley show that a lot of us are waiting to see, will be in it.
From what I was told, they are changing their format and hopefully that will get things back on a normal schedule. I want the magazine to succeed, therefore, I'll wait awhile without complaining too much and soon enough we'll have it in our hot little hands.

I don't work for Calvin or DM, I support him. It's just really sad to see people in the community be so quick to judge and bash people who try and do something positive. Calvin is busting his ass with NO commercial backing.. unlike other "euro" mags. He's doing this on his own. So, as I said before.. either support him, or shut it. You obviously like the mag or you wouldn't have purchased it, so I don't quite understand your "bashing".
and for the record my car is featured in an upcoming issue.

You and the "get along gang" are the first ones to rip on anyone/thing for any or no reason, but if someone gets on you guys its"oh poor me/us,why do you have to be such a douche". This is a lesson i also taught my kids. "don't cry when someone hits you after you hit others "

I can dish it out and can take it like a champ. I think in the 6yrs of being on the forum and in the chicago community I have only gotten butt hurt once.
as far as this group of ass grabers jumping on anyone for no reason.....come on now. there was always some reason all be it at times I admit very small, and jumped on just for the sake of the fun factor, but I degress if anyone just jumps in any thread and you talk out of your ass I will call you on it. I have done it before and I will do it again.

Please see my previous posts, and point out where i was "bashing" Calvin. I know he is doing this on his own without any commercial backing; however, you can not expect someone to support a company that doesn't meet the promises made to their customers (ie. providing product in return for money.)
Yes, I am one of the lucky ones who didn't sign the subscription, and therefore, this doesn't concern me. Thus, this will be the last time I speak regarding this.
It is great that you support him and I am also happy for you that your car will be featured in DM magazine in an upcoming issue, whenever that becomes available.
