This is for the 2005 GLI. When VW changed from the GLX model to the GLI's in 2002, they were nearly identical in height to each other.

Yeah--2002-2004 GLi has the standard sport suspension (similar to the garden-variety GTi), which is about 1/2" lower than a base Jetta.
2004.5-on GLi (MkIV) has a suspension similar to the 20th AE GTi and 337, which is about 1" lower than the base Jetta.
