Yup.
I can scan/realign/etc AS LONG as the vagcom connects to the ecu. No connection, no realigning.
My vagcom couldnt connect to OTOmatic's ecu, but it connected to FuturaYellowTurbo's ecu..Not really sure why it does or doesnt connect..

sometimes this is due to the pins being misaligned from the scantool, sometimes if the car is a swap you cant scan.. there are other factors but those are general ones. sometimes you can get away with wiggling it around while its plugged in

Ohh Im well aware of what might cause it. Even something as small as a aftermarket cd player could cause it.
Im free all day today so let me know.
Although I did have some guy send me a PM a while ago asking if I can drive to his place to scan his car for FREE...except he lived in Richmond Hill..Wow what a far drive that is from Mississauga.....LOL

Get the KK17 one off of EBay (I think thats what it's called) download ross-tech for free and the ebay cable lets you mod your MKIV windows to roll up or down w/o the module.

Ross-Tech software is designed for VAG-Com cables. So there is a chance it wont work with the vagcom program.
The Vag-Com program cannot make your windows go down enless you get the remote window controller from alientech. However if you have a MK5, then yes it can be done.
