well its oregon so its gonna be wet and muddy of course, how much do toyota mini-trucks run these days? i noticed for some reason jeeps are keeping their value even with the gas prices.
edit: whats the difference in the frames between the trucks and a 4runner

You can find them really cheap depending on the year and condition. Jeeps don't drop in price because idiots will actually pay it to have a Jeep! As for the difference in frames, 4Runners are built on a long box pick-up frame. If I was to build a budget mini, I would find a 79 or 80 with 4:10 gears and power steering. I would set up the 22R for propane injection, run dual transfer cases, build my own leaf springs out of a bunch of junkyard sets, weld up the rear end and sawz-all the body for 37's.

I could probably have it completely finished for $2500.
