Hey all, so I just picked up an R32 on Wednesday night and completed my first mod today. Projector headlight housings with HIDs and Halos. Here are a couple of pics, they aren't the greatest pics but man, these look AWESOME in real life.

Not sure why the links didn't work the first time around....

Because you linked to the album, not the pics.

DEPO projector housings, got em from a place called http://www.umnitza.com they wired everything up for me so they were truly plug 'n play. All i had to do was install em! I did HID fog lights too, they are sooooooo bright at night it is unbelievable.

nice I had those umnitza rings way back http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
the new version looks perfect.

I'm not sure what the temp is, they set everything up for me. I guess I should have asked....My final cost was $600 after tax. But that is because I also added HID fogs and some LED city lights. I'll double check on the temp and let you know.

shiat. 4 day owner with projector HID's? damn son you move fast!!! I waited years to do mine because I'm stupid. Good move on your part.
I used Helix projectors and OEM Lexus ballasts/genuine Philips DS2 4300k bulbs I sourced off eBay. I had to fabricate the kit myself. WAAAAAY too much work...your solution looks much less painful.
Just so you know noob...similar to a handgun purchase...there's a 2-week waiting period on HPA turbo kit installs.

After the lighting our suspension is the weakest link. Research/upgrade that if you haven't already. While you're doing the susp. research be sure to lookup how to do the 3-way flapper switch. If you don't have it yet do it asap. Free HP!
P.S. sweet lookin' lights!

Oh snap! There is a waiting period for HPA turbo kits?? I already have a call in to them about the FT360!! My E46 M3 was just totaled in an accident. It costs me ridiculous amounts of money to mod. I'm like a kid in a candy store right now!!!

FT360 system $9900, the Horsepower Freaks system for my M.....$20k. Don't get me wrong both amounts are lots of money....but $20k?!?!?!? Gimme a break!!!!
What coilover kit do you recommend? I had the PSS9 system in my M. What do you think of the Konis? KW Variants?
P.S. thanks!! got any pics of your lights! I'd like to see 'em

KW V3s are very nice. Had a few sets myself and never had any issues. Build quality and the various setting options always worked out perfect for me.
Never tried any other brands since KW always delivered what I expected and more.
If there will ever be a nice price on the stasis Ă–hlins setup I might be tempted to give that a shot. A lot of the guys in here who tracks there Rs has nothing but good things to say about it. I'd like to know how it compares to my KW Competition setup which is the best I have ever driven. I think that suspension is number one in any car. Forget about horsepower and bling bling lights. The right suspension will show you a whole new car and let you handle it in a completely new way.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree....suspension is the number one thing and to be honest....the suspension/handling is what I was MOST disappointed in when I test drove the R. The stock system is definitely suspect. I've already ordered upgraded swaybars and intend to do a coilover system right away, I just need to determine which is best for this car.
As for the "bling bling" lights. For me it was less about how they looked and more about being able to see the road at night, the OEM headlight system is just awful.
Thanks!

You are definitely on the right track. You won't believe how well just adding a RSB will aid in the handling. Combine it with a nice coil-over kit & the car takes on a whole new demeaner. Your first mod looks sweet. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Thanks! Yeah I bought front and rear neuspeed swaybars off of Ebay for $180. I'm hoping that they make the difference you say they'll make. After that....it is coilovers. I'm trying to decide between KWs or the PSS9s. Any input?

I have Koni's and am very happy with them. The price was great, and still is, pretty inexpensive compared to some others out there. They are just a tad soft it seems at times but I dont mine it, I didn't want that go kart feel anymore, if you do go with H&R coils. I personally love the feel of Bilstein PSS9's, but much more than I wanted to spend at the time. A great thing about the Koni's is the Lifetime Warrenty! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
