Has anyone used the oil dipstick bracket off a New Beetle (ex: AWV) in place of the standard MKIV bracket after removing the N249 & SAI stuff? Do you know if these are interchangeable? How does it bolt up? I couldn't find the piece in ETKA. It seems like a good solution for those of us with a stock intake manifold, if it will bolt up (there seems to be an extra bolt but maybe its only part of the bracket). Thoughts?
This is the piece in question (original picture was posted by zeusenergy, thanks!):

No idea if the manifold on MK4's are the same, but I thought they were not. Look closely, I have two vac lines up top, as well as the vacuum "pump" for the power brake on top too. If you have the bolts in the manifold and wherever else its needed, then this may be the solution for under-manifold mount removal! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
If you need more pix of the area and connections, it's raining bad now... but when it clears up I'll take you some pix.

That would be awesome. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I didn't see those vac lines coming off the back, I had assumed they were connected underneath like mine then passed through the runners. ETKA doesn't show that small cube on the front of the manifold so I am hoping that is part of the bracket. If it is part of the manifold it will definitely not work.

I just went through some pix and found that the bracket is part of the SAIP bracket.... and your SAIP will NOT be the same. NB brackets face the pump on it's side, see the hose under the manifold?

Unfortunate. I just went outside and realized the manifold is not at all the same either. Mounting screws for the brackets are different. The NB SAI pump is right in your face and cuts off the end of the manifold. Not at all the same, well looks like I'll have to fab something. Thanks though for the info! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
