Anyone ever try to source their DEALER STICKER from VW????

Recently at a car show, somebody mentioned to me that you can contact VW and get the original "BIRTH CERTIFICATE" or Dealer invoice for your car.
Anyone try this? Can you still do this or is this only done with "NEWER" cars?

i thought you can only do this w/ german-made aircooleds...

I didnt need to do this my dad bought my mk2 brand new

my PO was nice enough to gently fold it up and place it in the glove box.
To the OP..
A dealer sticker or window sticker is different then the VW birth certificate.

Im not sure if you can get one for a watercooled but I suggest you try and let us know.

Very cool.
I just want something original to the car or specific to the car. A window sticker, dealer invoice, birth certificate....just something.
I bought my car at a POS Mexican Car lot for $900 bucks....I got NOTHING. LOL
