Re: Last knight at the track..... (Sam1.8T)

wow, your 60' could definately use some practice, did you turn off the asr? dont worry too much about it though, these cars are a pain to launch. get it down to a 2.2-2.3 and youll see a 14 easy

Re: Last knight at the track..... (02GTI1.8t)

I DID take it off.....It was waaaay too much wheel spin. If I can get it down to 2.1's I can surely go to mid 14's...
BTW: It s a Celica GTS with intake and exhaust on the right.....

Re: Last knight at the track..... (Sam1.8T)

A 2.7 60' is crazy. I dont even know how you could pull that off. With me totally screwing up, I pulled 2.5 60'. Drop the clutch at 4K, you'll at least pull a 2.5-2.4.
PS- dropping the clutch is not the proper way to launch.

Re: Last knight at the track..... (FrankiEBoneZ)

heyyy shutup, i got a 2.7 60'....yea im not proud of it, but thats what happens when you try and slip the clutch at 3k, but end up relaly dropping the cluthc at 3k, oh well....2.7 is easier to get than you think, especially if your a sped at driving stick like me

Did you wear a big suit of armor and challenge the guy in the other lane to a joust?

hahahha. I am Lancelot!
Anyways, make sure you have ASR off. Try this I gurantee you will get at least better then a 2.7, just drive off the line. Rev to about 1100 rpm and just drive off the line (fast, but not to fast). I was getting 2.5's and 2.6's all the time. And my buddy kept telling me, dude just drive off the line. I did it, hit one 2.2 60', but mainly 2.3's, still not good, but then I got DR's. And actully taught myself how to launch (kind of, lol).

Re: Last knight at the track..... (Barcad)

I launched alright...but couldn't stop the wheel spin in 1st..so I had to shift early to 2nd

The way my Brocks set up....It's dangerous to lower the tire pressure....
Anyway....I am heading there tonight...wish me luck

Re: Last knight at the track..... (wolfsburg2)

Focus on the 60' and not a sub 1.00 r/t.
Like clockwork, every time I focused on jumping off the lights, my 60's would suffer.
If I calmed down and focused on a "clean getaway", I'd ALWAYS get a lower ET.
Once you get the launch down, then you can add it to the launch. But for now, race the clock, not the guy next to you. You'll get better times.

Re: Last knight at the track..... (Sam1.8T)

why is your trap so high???
Recently i went to the track, i ran a 15.2 at 91 with a 2.5 or .4 60ft....
Lasttime i went when it was hotter out i kept hitting 2.4 2.4 60fts and couldnt get it past down 15.3....But it was hot out...but how are you trapping so high???
I canat get no where past 91, cars all stock, just recently when iwent i had no backseats in, itg drop in, and i took my bov off and ran with the stock dv.....
Best time was that day at 15.2 at 91mph.....

'Cause mine's not STOCK. My mods are in the sig. Car is capable of low (very low) 14's. It's just my launch that sucks

. If I get better clutch that can gimme a solid launch I am SURE I can squeeze in to high 13's....

Oh, it's more than just the parts that'll get you there. Make passes until that clutch slips/gives.

Re: Last knight at the track..... (VEExDUBmotorsports)

I did few runs...that day...
1st 15.9 (1st time ever in a track)
2nd 15.5
3rd 15.1
4th clutch was slipping in 2nd gear
Image
had to slow down...So I ended up with 22.1
Image
But my 60ft was 2.5 at that time..
After that all my runs went down hill due to the heated clutch....
