Wow and my friends car was just being fixed in Cambridge this week. and the stereo was ripped out of the trunk. Maybe he can go and find it now.
Glad to hear they cought these people. always make sure we lock up our Dubs when are not around.

These guys deserve it. They were pretty blatent about it IMO. I've talked to the one guy in person and he didn't even know me but didn't hesitate to tell me about how to break into a Mk4 (like mine) and how they have "engines" for sale. http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif
I took this personally when they told me stuff like that since my Black Mk3 was stolen 2 years ago.

I know some of the names of drivers that had "Amazing Creations" on the windshield (like 20 of them), but i have no idea if they got canned or not.
The lime green MKII VR6 was impounded right??
Did anyone see this on TV CKCO, CTV??

I saw it on the CKCO news the other night. On the news report it said that the busts were a joint effort from the insurance fraud police and the waterloo regional police.
So I called my buddy who's a waterloo regional and he told me that someone had tried to do an insurance scam of sorts with these guys. He didn't have any real details but said that the insurance scam is what got the police looking into this more closely.
With a little less advertising on their part they may have not got busted at all. Any how, if this was their first offence they probably will get off with only probation and some community service work. Freakin' Stealin' retards!

what about auctions!!!
we need to find out about the auctions and when they are happening.
There will probably be alot of good deals. I know back in the day when the police held an auction for all the Haymann Motors parts there were tons of good deals for VR6's, G60's and interiors etc...
How could we find this out? anyone know?

As sad as it is that we think about AUCTIONS just after a bust and this could be our OWN parts, would be good to find out not just for deals but for ppl affected by this to maybe reclaim their own goods. If anyone hears, be sure to post.

just to add soemthign i remembered... there was a racing 'crew' with nsxs and integras i believe who would strip the interior of their car, put it somewhere to be found, report it stolen.... then when it was 'found' they got money from insurance to put in a new interior, which instead they used to do up their cars... they got caught after doing it about 4 times i believe... maybe thats wht the insurance scam was?

Well at least theres a few less car thieves on the loose now..This is the main reason why a 20 year old like myself can't afford insurance on a new Gti...The theft rating on them is so freaking high it jacks the insurance through the roof....If I met these guys, I wouldn't hesitate to give them all a severe beating with a tire iron....

wow, that was lame..sure reference gone in 60 seconds or fast and the furious, but this has been going on since the dawn of the automobile...it probably has nothing to do w/ these movies

Read the post over on generationiv.com.....(link to thread at the top of this thread)...this guys were only doing this for the rush they got. i guess 4 GTI vr6 's in one night can be a rush...i just wouldn't have the balls to do it.
