i just put in new taillights on my golf, and when i connect the wires back, the taillights dont iluminate properlly does anyone have a wiring diagram or can some one help me out...

sorry im trying to fix it, it just won't cooperate.
anyways search google, Dans vw page, find the part about free wiring schematics towards the bottom..go from there
trial 79 copy paste... whats wrong with that website...

Free electrical schematics for most VW products
then click on the link for
Volkswagen Golf III - Jetta 3 (1992-1996) / Ôîëüêñâàãåí Ãîëüô 3 - Äæåòòà 3 (1992-1996)
then scroll about half way down to a section with
VW Golf 3 1996 Wiring Diagrams (eng.) etc. find your year model and download the zip file for your wiring diagram.

ok i got the brake lights to work, but when i put on my hazzard, the lights on the cluster does not go on, and the hazzard button does'nt strobe it only stays lit, and also my turn signals dont go on. could it be a fuse? or the bulbs

i dont know if its the wiring, bulbs, or fuse, because i connected all the wires how their suppose to be connected , and now my turn signals wont come on, when i press the break pedal the right turn signal stays iluminated and the left tail light completely shuts off

ok so now i replace all bulbs, and cleaned the connectors and circuit boards, the tail light bulbs and 3rd brake light work properly, but now when i press the brakes the tails shut off and both turn signals turn on and the 3rd brake light goes on.
can some one take a picture of their tail lights and post it on here( circuit board/ and how the bulbs are installed, please and thank you.)

after browsing other topics, they say the ignition switch can mess things up..i don't know if its worth a shot or not, its only 12 bucks if it doesn't work.

browse this, i know its not exactly what your looking for..but i think they could be connected.
