No you're Not the only one. I clearly posted that above and I concur.

I never notice my lug nuts but that doesn't give a shop the right not to put one of them back on. $150.00 dollars in spacers is a lot of money just to throw away especially if you know who did the work.

Well the car they are on I don't really give a F about so I never really paid attention to it after I put them on it.

So... it's ok to steal someone's ****, just so long as the victim doesn't notice for a while?
I think the guy on the phone knows what's up, that's why he's so pissed off and defensive. I had to ask the Les Schwab clowns for me VW valve stem caps back. Sure it's little ****... BUT IT'S MINE!

also if they were 8mm or more, they would need need new longer bolts...
so, they bolted your wheels back on with the longer bolts??
also, why would you have spacers on the car in the first place if they did not have an effect on the car if you did not notice the difference for 6 months?

To be honest I have either 12mm or 15mm on the back of the R and I can't tell, Oh crap I better go check and see if Thip put them back on
Image
Really unless I am next to another R without them I can't tell. But it is curious about the bolts. They would have had to put new shorter ones in. That should have been a clue. I thought places like that couldn't mount wheels with spacers. The OP should check his trunk maybe they put them in there.

Re: (LynchedGTI)

Man I actually just got a call from Discount Tire and they said either bring them specs on what I had or just go out and buy them and the will refund me the money.

So I originally bought these for my Mk1 but I just wanted to give them a shot on the DD to see how they looked. They fit on there with no problem I had the spacers that CAME with the longer studs in the kit. Not the ones you have to bolt on and then use a different stud. But I honesty just used what came with the kit and it worked out fine.
I pull off everything when I did my snow tires yesterday and the rear studs are the same size as the fronts which I my mind means they swapped them out. Because I put on the long ones in the rear and I know for a fact it hasn't been torn apart since they worked on it.
Oh well at least I am getting the issue fixed though.

i love my non hub centric spcers... makes it more of a challenge and way fun to do the bolt pattern with out having them vibrate. Master Rick taught me this

You bought spacers that weren't hub centric in the first place?? Shouldn't have done that. What size were they? They couldn't have been that big if you didn't notice...
Either way that sucks, hope it works out.

maybe the Hubcentric spacers were for the wheels

Just need the MS set-up, a few AN fittings, and some Fuel Line.

I really dubt this is how your spacers are missing. No one would take your spacers off, swap out your bolts and put it back together. AND if they did they would have for any reason they would have let you know. What reason would a tire shop want with your spacers?

Dont be a Puss pants!
Drive down there. Ask for the Service manager. Point out the Problem and without giving them a moment to talk continue on to how they hung up on you. Proceed to open the Flood gates of hell and summon the beasts of the undertaker....
and if they dont compensate you for your loss, you atleast got words out of your system.
