Hello all,
I am new here and most def new to VW... just got a 91 jetta and the vehicle is vibrating like crazy. very loud, mostly just in idle. I am wondering is it just because i'ts an older model or what should i be looking for in order to make it more quiet and not vibrate so much....
thanks for any help you can provide.

If it only vibrates like mad at idle, try raising the idle a touch.
Is it loud all the time? What kind of noise is it making?

Re: (G60 Carat)

Thanks for the reply, better description:
with the vehicle at a stop in drive, it's the worst, bad vibration. the steering wheel shakes as well as really the whole inside. I am thinking it's motor mounts and exhaust. Since i am new to the VW Jetta, i am going to need to get a DIY book. Any good ones besides that chiltons and haynes?
Thanks for you all's help.

Re: FV-QR (steveo27)

You are right all, it's the motor mounts. the engine is shaking really bad. I will change them and then see how it sounds after that.
Should i just order them from a local parts shop or get them online somewhere cheaper? Thanks for the help!!
