im looking to do a similar project.....
i have no clue where to start to look for DYI's or advice....
have any for me?
like what did you use to fill the gap of the valance?

well.. what i should have used was a piece of plastic to fill the exhaust hole.. but i could'nt find anything.. i roughed up the inside of the cutout.. laid some tape across the hole real tightly and poured that bumper adhesive onto the tape.. let it dry.. peeled the tape off.. presto.. worked great.. for the bumper notch.. my badgless grille came with a bumper notch filler.. i had to hack it up to make it fit .. glued it down witth the adhesive.. sanded.. and began applying the glaze putty..

I'm gonna be filling the cut out on my 20th rear lip i picked up not too long ago too. Considering how good yours came out I guess I'll do it the same way you did! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

make sure not to use the super fast drying stuff.. the one pictured dries in 30 seconds i think.. the one i used to fill the exhaust hole was like a minute or 2? good luck http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

where did you get those materials by any chance because i would like to get those they look like they would work well for what i am doing how do you think it would work for a cracked valence

i got em from a shirwin williams auto paint store in the area.. that eurathane adhesive is specifically for fixing cracked bumpers n such.. im sure it wont be too hard to find in your area..
