So anybody want to buy a slightly wet 280ZX turbo t-top?

seriously though I hope that everyone makes it through this flood you are getting. I'm from Kelso and stationed at Ft Lewis. This is my moms house in Castle Rock. I'm pretty worried. 1. all the bad stuff hits the north west when I'm playing army in the sandbox. 2. my rabbit is in a tin building just to the right up a little bit. Like I said I hope it stops raining but alot of you don't have it this bad yet. Its a link to her shutterfly page since I've never posted pics and the comps here are to slow to do so. http://angelaspictures2.shutterfly.com/35.... thanks in advance for your kind words.

A few things.
1. I think every pic in that set has a tire in it.

Its like wheres waldo trying to find one in every pic. One looks like there are about 70 stacked up? What is the deal with that? Stack the tires on high ground and park the cars on the low end? I think you might even get a few tires out of there, looks like the water may take a few of them down river.

2. Is that a big window 50’s ford/ chevy in one of the pic’s? Green with a white top.
3. If you live in a flood plane, you should always put your house on stilts so you have an extra foot or so the water can rise. Its what should be done, but people never do it here in the PNW. I never understood this, its cheep and easy, and would save you thousands if the water were to rise a little. Just a extra foot can make the difference from being close to loosing everything.
4. I feel sorry for you, I hate to see this and know how many people get put out due to bad weather, I think the car and the tractor I see that has the steering wheel sticking out are done for. Why didn’t all the stuff I see get moved to higher ground while there was a chance? You have enough land to do it.

That's crazy. At least the house is above water. I-5N near Arlington was under water this afternoon, along with SR-20 between Burlington and Anacortes by the weigh station. I've never seen water over the road out this way before.

I feel for you and your family man......
I spent all day packing up our office, loading it into an empty refrigeration trailer and then moving all of our equipment across the valley in snohomish. As soon as everything was moved, I got the hell out of the valley. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Pics from today at about 4:30. Not supposed to crest till midnight.

Well where to start...
1. Yeah there are alot of tires out there. My step dad is a horrible pack rat. People on here would have probly died knowing how many old aluminum rims or S-10s and such he took to the dump.
2. He is also a huge mopar guy so I belive its a 69 dodge or some such. No Fords in the yard I can assure you.
3. I know what you mean about putting stilts up, however they live about 1000 feet up from the town that normaly floods and they got alot more snow than ever before and that brought alot more water than they could have realized. An excuse I realize but would you buy tornado insurance if you lived in a place that had one in the last 100 years?

4. Thank you for your kind words and everyone else who has replied. Yeah they lost alot of stuff this year due to this. It missed the house so far though so thats the important thing. The water also rose about a foot an hour so getting things saved with all that crap there that doesn't run would have been fun. The tractor was saved though.

Thank you all again for your thoughts. Like I said I just wish I was home and not out in Iraq when things like this happen. Hope you all stay safe and dry out there.
