Location of Secondary Air solenoid

After spending a large amount of time trying to find a dealer in my area that has had this part in stock, I finally bought a replacement today. However, I have had no luck actually locating the part.

I have been searching endlessly in various forums. Where is the solenoid located on a 2001 jetta 1.8T? Any pictures would be great. Thanks.

sorry i may have mistaken what you are looking for, i thought your post said secondary air pump, when infact it says solenoid.
there's a pump and a kombi valve, i didn't think there was a solenoid.
the pump is under the intake mani, the kombi valve is on the driverside of the block towards the back.

according to the dealer, there is in fact a solenoid valve that controls the vacuum from the kombi (or something like that) I can't for the life of me, find the original valve. I was really hoping to finish this repair today because I have a few other replacement parts arriving in the next few days. Any help finding this is greatly appreciated.

The solenoid is actually on the bracket that the lower engine cover covers. There are two solenoids on this bracket. One for the SAI (N112) and one for the diverter valve (N249). To figure out which one is which, just follow the vacuum line from the combination valve on the side of the head to the solenoid.
Edit: I just realized you may not be able to do this because the transverse engines use hard lines for the vacuum lines around there. The solenoid will be the one with the least amount of connections. One should have three connections and the SAI one should have two with one capped or unused one.

So, i am pretty sure that i know which valve on that bracket i need to replace but it seems that the dealer sold me the wrong part. The connector and mounting are different for the part i received, will post pictures in a few minutes
