Re: New Work Van (natrurally)

If she's doing this as a business wouldn't it be wise for her to get a partition? Mabe even the harness "doggie seatbelt" things they sell now?
What drivetrain does the van have? The 2.5/3 speed is dog slow, but pretty bulletproof, but I'm guessing this probably has the 3.3. Be easy on the transmission.

Other than the Ultradrive, they're pretty reliable, and cheap to fix. There is a reason you see so many clapped-out Chrysler minivans still running around.

I don't understand the point of aftermarket HU. They are ugly, don't match the interior, have tiny cramped buttons, are usually hard to read and operate, and can be stolen.
Preset buttons? I couldn't live with out them. Steering wheel integration?

If I were keeping my car beyond this year, I would've bought a new HU a long time ago if for no other reason than to have an AUX jack.
The FM transmitter compromise just ain't cutting it.

Every aftermarket HU I've used has had pre-set buttons, and many will work with steering wheel integration with an extra $15-20 in parts.

I have one of these in my truck because:
-had there been a stock radio in it when I got it, it would have been at best a cassette only am/fm radio
-the one I just installed (my 2nd in this truck, other one was old and quit playing CD's) has HD radio, USB and AUX input, a pretty nice CD player, more outputs than I'll ever need for running amps etc...
-I like decent quality sound
Any radio can be stolen if one has the right removal keys and the ability to unplug things.

That is a good thing. Terribly slow, but reliable.

I thought all the later model Chrysler minivan engines were reliable? But maybe the more powerful V6s wear the transmission quicker. (headscratch)

Her reasons:
-helps dogs relax

I thought that's what doggie yoga was for.
And I was thinking the new stereo was for her. How silly of me.
