No. No it's not. However, I do need your guy's help. I recently picked up a set RC's, and as you see I am a wee bit lower than stock,
Image
, ok maybe a bit more than a wee. My problem is that when I turn the wheels to do a U-turn or to turn a 45 degree turn, i rub. I haven't gone lower since my old set of wheels, Longbeaches, and a know these a a bit wider, but the overall circumference of the wheel/tires ratio is the same. The only thing that has changed is the widths, my lb's weren't as wide as the RC's.
So my questions for you guys is, how do all of you on RC's who are low deal with this? Spacers? (I don't think will help because that will make them even wider and rub ever more, I could be wrong though. Removal of fender liners? I am not raising it up

so any help would be appreciated!
Thank you so much!

Re: (eliotkb)

It depends on where you're rubbing at if spacers will help or not. If you're rubbing on the inner side of the fender liner then spacers will help you out most likely. You could always try to "pull" your fender liners a little farther away from the wheel or just trim out where it's rubbing. As already said, if you go low, rubbing is something that is pretty much going to happen.

Re: (mjc9203)

You would have to get a little creative, use zip ties, find a new place to screw them to the body, heat and re-mold them with a heat gun and some care, etc. Heck, just check to be sure that they're secured well now to the original mounting location. It is possible that they are loose from years of vibration and they're hanging just far enough out to get caught on the wheel. If they're in solid, refer back to my first sentence

personally, I think you really need to fiure out where it's rubbing 1st. Then decide.

3/2/g content is RC's?

I found where the rubbing is, it's actually the inner side rubbing, not the outer of the fender. The tire is actually rubbing and peeling a thin layer of rubber off as it spins. So I need spacers. I do not want them flush with the well because my FKs are a tad bouncy and the roads i drive on daily are pretty bumpy, I dont want them messing up the actual well itself. So a 8mm up front and a 17.5 rear? I know 10 and 20 is flush, but i dont want that... anyone else with input or pics?

Does anyone have any input on that? Fender liners out? I want to go a tad lower in the front today

Take them out. I've seen/know people who have done it. Not a big deal.
Have you rolled your fenders yet? If not you probably need to do so. Your low, but your not that low.....

Personally, i feel like 5-8mm up front and 15mm in the rear is perfect.
Look through this thread... http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3776733

i ended up ordering 7mm up front and 15mm in rear. Hopefully the 7mm up front will be ebough to clear the coils. (where it's rubbing currently)

It most likely will be plenty. I have a 5mm on my fronts just to clear the coils...works perfect...http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
