So as i read about all these Revo setting posts about 91 octane run these "xxxxxx" settings or even 93 octane settings run these "xxxxx" settings, i start to get confused on which end of the spectrum i fit in. I'm from Oregon and Hawaii and have only seen 92 octane. I am trying to read up on timing settings but not sure where to start. (from revo website:91oct - timing:1-2, 93 oct - timing:3-4) how does 92oct fair? http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif or http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

my mind says this:
if 91 OCT = 1-2 and 93 OCT = 3-4, then 92 OCT must = 2-3. its a start

i too live in oregon (Salem) but dont really shop for gas other than full race fuels. and i do not run any type of stock management in my race cars, they are on Autronic standalones....

Re: fuel grade confusion?? (BlackRabbit0888)

3 timing is ok when its not to hot out. I ran 3 timing on revo 550 with 92 but when it started to get hot out it would read knocks bit. Go w/m and run level 8 http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: fuel grade confusion?? (velocity196)

I'm guess most people are on Aftermarket FMIC or SMIC. Im still runnning the stocker. I would like to get WMI. Are you WMI guys running a 505 methonal/water mixture (boost juice) or the "blue" window washer fluid? I dont plan on running any timing above the 3 setting because of the stocker. I might be able to run 3 but only for the spring weather. Its still cold enough here in portland. I'm gonna do more logging this weekend to see how high i can take it before knock gets too high.
