got her chipped

so got the jazz chipped. i went to denver to see a new found glory concert and while i was down their i figured i would get her chipped FINALLY!! was gonna get unitronic which is what i wanted. the shop that i called said they would stay open cause i would be getting into denver alittle after 4. i called them and they were closed. i called the guyz over at 3zero3 Motorsports and they said they were closing 10min from me calling. they said come on down and well get it done. sweet got it done and call pulled like a train.

i took the car back to my hotel valet my car and sat for the night. left to go home the next day and dropped #4 coil pack. limped it 250miles home and called 3zero3 motorsports and they had the coils and had them next day aired to me. they have treated me top notch. i replaced the forge dv with the stiffer spring and wow it runs great.
i came home the other day and from 2nd i pulled half a car on a sti till about mid way through 5th and he pulled on me. im happy with it. i will def be going with unitronic when and if i go BT.

lol...I was gonna say the same thing. Or he missed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. Or it was just a regular WRX. Or the OP is lying

same thing happened to me one day, i thought to myself, he probably missed 50% of his gears

no bullsh*T going on here. it was pretty much stock and we rolled from 2nd gear and he pulled on me top of 4th gear. so yeah we were racing. i also have a lightweight flywheel,clutchnet clutch, 3" downpipe,no cat side exit, and hardened motormounts. typical vortex haters i see.

no one is hating, like i said, same thing happened to me, but i didnt know if it was a clean run or not, but whatever happened, it made me smile

Im not hating, I just know what an STI is capable of, and I know what a chipped 1.8t is capable of. I own one...
An STI is a low 13 to high 12 second car stock. They're AWD, and have 300hp. Your GTI probably has...MAYBE 215hp with all those mods, and probably runs low 14s with a good driver at best. I was actually joking about the lying part, and was leaning toward the possibility that the other driver either couldnt drive, or it was a regular WRX. If you beat a regular WRX I would say thats possible. Are you sure it wastn just a regular WRX made to look like an STI?
Ive seen a high 12 second CRX SMOKE an SRT-4 like he was standing still, and an SRT-4 is STILL faster than your GTI. Just doesn't add up. STI's are quick. You shouldnt have even hung with him through 1st gear

In other news...an Infiniti G35 tried to race me the other night. I didn't know for sure if he was going to go, and it was at a stop sign, so it didnt give me much time to think about it, but he went, so he got a jump on me, but as soon as I went (after he was about a car and a half in front of me) he stopped pulling. I think I could have taken him.

Not hating. He probably didn't know how to drive... because STI's are rated at 240-260 at the wheels....no way would you ever beat it with your chipped GTI.

i pulled on a g35 on the highway, so i think it was a clean good run

i got a revo chip but i wanted the unitronic. im not upset at anyone. i know a sti is way faster than me. i was ONLY half a car on him then he blew past me in the top end. yes it was a sti, gold wheels brembo breaks, massive wing etc. yes i know it was a sti i used to work at a subi dealership. but yeah he probably couldn't drive or something but yeah it put a smile on my face. oh and to all the g35 and 350z's out their, with just a 3" down pipe and cat delete i walked away from them.
good news is i just finished masking off the second part for my wheels that are being powdercoated and am stoked for them to be done. anybody going to Wustefest in vegas? i am it's gonna be a party

my GLI has a updated GIAC program than my GTI had (both were chipped when i got them )
so one night i drove a friends GTI , it was so stock i asked her whats wrong with her car
