The market price is only around $300-350 for them now, anyways, still a good phone

you are wrong, if you sign a 2 year contract with rogers it is $350 if you buy it out right with rogers or fido it is $650. no contract.

Re: My new toy..... (blood red GTI)

But does that mean you can get the Rogers SIM card to work on a fido phone?
quote:

I heard that the phones from Fido are locked and so you cant use this phone for any other networks???

No you can use it on rogers, just put your sim card in and your done. I did a network search with my phone and it found both rogers and fido.

Re: My new toy..... (Pocket Empty)

As long as your phone is unlocked, you can put any provider's SIM card in your phone.
I bought an unlocked Siemens S40 in Europe and put in my Fido card, no problem!
When my bro from Europe came here for a vacation, he put his SIM in my phone and used it no prob.

Re: My new toy..... (epunk)

I purchased my phone for $300 new. Its awesome and its unlocked so i can go on any network, which means bell, rogers or fido. as all three use GSM/GPRS

Please dont complain about fidos coverage, bell and rogers new phones use the same satelites and have the same reception, most new gsm/gprs dont have analog, therefore their signals suck outside of cities.
Rogers wont swallow up Fido, i am pretty sure T-Mobile will buy out the company.
Fido already filed for Bankruptcy protection.

You are wrong. Most If not ALL phones are locked onto their networks. Companys arent stupid enought to leave them unlocked.
If you owned Rogers and you gave someone a phone for 50% off would you lock it on your network?
I think you would because that guarantees service.

If the price of T68i is $350, unlocked, the price has dropped like 150-200 from November!! When I was looking for a T68i for my girl, everywhere in the mall sell the phone for like $500
Image
Anyways, T68i is a great phone if the "CPU" of the phone is faster, I mean... it just don't respont fast enough. Anyways... I'm back to Nokia now~ better color and nicer ringtone and faster respone IMO
