meh, different strokes. I think the rectangular headlights match the rectangular theme of the front fascia.

BMW doesn't do square headlights, BMWs have round headlights, its part of their style.
Secondly, stay away from the V8s, V12s and the 'IL' models. Get a 735i if you want a reliable car. the iL had a ton more electronics and thus more problems, it also had the self leveling rear suspension which is very expensive to repair and uses very expensive fluid to fill when it starts leaking (which it will). The 735i is the one to get, bar none, if you want the car to not bleed you out of money.
