The Golf was off the road through the winter months whilst having some nice performance enhancing mods at South West In Car Tech. It is still not quite complete after a few little teething errors with a few aftermarket parts, but its home and driving like a dream. Under the bonnet now consists of NO battery, wiring or wash bottle which tidies it up a treat, the battery and wash bottle have been relocated to the boot. Instead of the usual upgrade to a FMIC it now has a Pace Chargecooler, which is connected to a Forge TIP. I also have upgraded the air filter to a BMC.
The other mods are a powergasket, a Cupra inlet manifold, swirl pot for the water system and of course a SWICT remap (225bhp).
I'm not getting full benefit from all these mods as yet because I need to change my whole exhaust as its to small and restricts the air flow really bad, although I'm still enjoying the driving experience. :thumb:
Over the last couple of weeks I've done a few other things, I’ve fitted some new front disks and pads, then painted my callipers. Mark at SWICT Fitted some electric windows and a new alarm for me too. Plans are for the exterior to have some major work too, I'm not saying too much but things have already started changing as you can see from the pictures.
I owe a massive thanks to Mark and Kaz at SWICT for doing an amazing job in looking after me and the car.
Thanks :thumb:
