Looks like I'm not going after all. Oh well, I'd rather be at home with my friends and family anyway.
I guess I'll have to do stories on the PVW VW scene instead. And as promised, here's a pic of some of the camera gear the Army let's me mess with:

A couple D80's and a D3/D300?
that smaller camcorder is a Sony HDV something...the one in front of it is a bigger Sony
and the one in the right corner is a Canon?

Sorry but glad to hear. I know there were certain(financial) aspects of the trip you looking forward to. But glad you're coming home where you belong.

Our MCs are given a D3 as their primary and either a D2 or D700 as their secondary. I am a bit jealous.

That is a cute GL1. Smaller Sony is a HVR-A1U and by the bulk of the rear of the bigger Sony, I'm thinking its a EX-1...Some decent cameras right there. I would have expected better though.
