Well I know I get tired of your typical "washed my car, here's a picture" thread, so hopefully you all successfully pass the couple minutes it takes to peruse the thread.
Every so often the group of guys most of you associate with the 8380 sales booth gets together to try and accomplish whatever missions are on the agenda for the collection of cars. Some nights go well, some nights veer off into dick jokes, best of the 80s rock, and mechanical folly. So here's June 5th...
As most of you know by now, ethan (ledjetta)picked up an e30 over the winter and has been gradually collecting and installing a bunch of parts. With adam (akke41) tagging along, coilover install was planned for thursday night. Meeting at Tim's (root beer) while he was attempting to change a crackpipe on a mk4 while removing as little as possible (car also has molded front bumper/fenders...).
While I showed up a little late and eventually got dirty and dropped the camera, here's some snapshots.
Dave (volksatan) had some issues with his monowiper, some ingenuity and zipties eventually fixed the issue.

Ethan and Adam taking out the stock strut. The e30 suspension required removal of the front subframe, and the strut is one piece with the front spindle.

Night ended on a mediocre note at best, usually I'd show some fun new stuff in this spot. maybe next time. Lemme know if this was interesting or boring, so next time I won't bother and I'll help more.
