The car: 2002 TT 225
6spd
1.8t AMU
Uni chipped Stg 2
plugs: range 7's gapped to .028

The car has always had an issue if you shift hard into 3rd it will limit boost. You get off and it give full boost again.
The new issue that has been a huge pain is the car has had a misfire issue. Replaced #4 coil pack 3 times, including switching with cyl #1. The car will now show some blips when idling and it will be 1- or 2 misfires.
The huge issue is: Under full throttle the car still behaves like it has a big misfire. Now there are no codes though. the car will pull back timing and boost. I would like to check the knock sensor operation on VAGCOM but Im not sure what is normal operating results.

My tt pitched a ****fit when the first o2 sensor was not so great. Lovely narrowband cars. (02 AMU here too) You might want to change your plugs again, if you keep misfiring it tends to mess them up a little. Other than that check the o2 readings and possibly tighten the gap a little and see if it goes away.
