I don't understand why people "store" stock 4 door family sedans in the winter...

I dont look as a 4 door sedan.
I go as saving money and miles, i dont want to be fixing car for rust in the future, changes tires, wheels and raising the car every year. since i have 2 car i dont see a problem

Re: Gonne for the season ;( (e.shell)

The last mk3 I had was purchased from up north in a hurry for cheap and upon closer inspection the entire bottom of the car was rusted out. If the roads are salted often, just be sure to wash it as often as possible. As for the cover, we cover cars at my work that are unfinished, then tarp them to protect the interior/primer, but you have to be really careful because the wind will rub through the cover, and then the tarp will just eat away at your paint. Drive it and keep it clean, which should be normal routine for a car like that anyways. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

funny...people putting a car worth less than 20k in "storage" when I see 7's driving around in the snow
it's not a ****ing exotic, keep your nose down

but it still takes money to fix if something happens. These are people's hobbies in which they invest a lot of money into and would hate to see some ******* in his 4x4 who thinks he can go through anything lose control in the snow and smash into it. Chill out, http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

if only there were companies in which we could pay yearly that would help pay to fix a situation that you described

Lets see, Store it and drive your other car...or go through the hassle of getting it fixed after being smashed into and paying a deductible.
