SA Jetta 1.8T conversion complete...
Hi All, been wanting to post here for a long time now, but lost my old username and password, being too lazy to re-register i just never posted...finally got down to registering and thought id share some pics of my jetta from South Africa...Nothing special compared to the builds you guys have but its still a work in progress...
Heres some pics from when it was stock...
And the fun begins...plan was to respray it the original black magic...but a little bit of gold pearl got in there aswell, hardly noticable unless the sun is harsh...
Getting washed...
And the fun begins...sanded the car down...and filled some small imperfections on the panels...
sprayed up...
And 2days later back at home....was a very eventful weekend, but i am more than happy with the outcome...
Next was the recaros and door panels, that i thought needed to be recovered, the original colour i wanted was a mud red, but no-one had the shade i wanted so eventually settled on this...had to get used to it at first but im loving it now...the guy who done the seats fitted my previous set, he works from home but does brilliant work... i dont have before and after pics, but after some grinding and drilling i managed to get them in and they work perfectly...here they are in the car...
Here's the car being flat sanded...
And she is almost done...some pics...
The past weekend decided I'm gonna go ahead and cut up my front bumper and give it a shave... What a pain in the ass! Anyways came out good and learnt a few things in the process...
And then I managed to find a set of audi TT sixpoke wheels and fitted them, i know it needs spacers in the rear, but stuff is very limited here by us in SA.
Here's some pics of the changes...still need to do rear bumper and boot...
On the car...

Yes i know "lower it"
, she is on coilovers though. Hopefully some day we will have Air suspension available or decent coilover kits, but for now i guess they will do...
Next on the list is an AGU 1.8t conversion...gonna be posting lots of questions soon, after using the search function lol
