Re: (ejg3855)

hey ill eat from spoons for a long time as long as im learning im ok with it. that wire ring is easy so that goes on where i would normally install a small piece of tubing on the sender......and also is variable power for the dimmer

Re: (ragu9000)

hey bro,
that's the EXACT sending unit you want for that gauge.
the sending unit has two "posts" marked "G" and "WK".
Ignore the "WK" post. Hook the orange wire from the back of the gauge up to the post marked "G"
Hope this helps.

Re: (-02reflexgti-)

appreciate your response man. I have that sender, im glad its what i need. For some reason I thought i need to hook a small tube up to that and not the orange wire.
thanks again http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: New South Oil Pressure Gauge Install HELP! (ragu9000)

Okay, on the sending unit, the post marked WK should go to your gauge, and the G post should go to a ground. Make sure the thing is grounded or else you are not going to get a reading.

This true?
42DD said no ground necessary, as the unit grounds to the housing..

That's probably true, although IF there is an extra post for ground (I use a different one, so I wouldn't know) It doesn't hurt to use it.
Can never overground anything. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
