Love that video, always laugh when Jackie starts talking though. Must be a hell of a rush. Watching this vids gets my heart going.

Haha - yeah for a definitive "real man", he sure sounds like a woman.

Nevermind though - undying respect for the skill and balls that must have been doing something other than changing his voice.

I wonder what how fast he was going in the straight. That was ridiculous.

The Peugeot 2.8L V6 turbo charged PRV engine had its air intakes taped over to improve aerodynamics, and they also equipped the car with special narrow Michelin tires. The plan worked: with Roger Dorchy behind the wheel, the WM P87 achieved the speed of 407 km/h (252.9 mph).
Of course, taping over the air intakes impeded engine cooling, and the Peugeot was only the third Group C1 car to exit the race after 59 laps with an overheating engine.

That, however was the fastest speed for a car specifically modified for top speed, but it seems other cars were hitting 240+ commonly. In-freaking-sane.

One of F1's all-time classic duels. A lot of people don't realize that battle was actually for 2nd place. Arnoux's teammate Pierre Jabouille actually won the race, which happened to be the first victory for a turbocharged car in the modern era.
