Looking at etka, yes, it uses the VW sealant paste instead of a gasket.
VW wants about $40-$45 a tube for the sealant... it's expensive, but it goes a LONG way, and it works VERY well. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
AMV.188.200.03 is the part number for the sealing paste.
I should look into small empty squeeze tubes, buy a few up, and fill them with enough sealant to do a couple transaxles, then sell the tubes at $10-$15 a pop so people don't have to buy a $45 tube to do one trans.
