what exactly is a 2.0liter cross flow engine? how hard is it to install into a mk2? all that.

2.0L 8v - intake comes from in front of the engine (opposite side form exhaust), instead of the rear. They aren't too difficult to install in an A2, if you have CE2 (updated wiring harness). I have one in my car (see sig) as do many others on here.
If you want to get technical, the 16v's and VR6's are crossflows too
