Hey everyone, my name is luis and im fairly new to the thread. I was looking to buy a corrado last year but never found one in decent condition. i have been in the market to getting a R32 for a couple months now. I was getting getting ready to buy a black R with 78,000 miles from a dealer for 19,600 when i saw a posting on craigslist for a BMP r32 with good miles and a nice paint job. Its being sold by a repair shop or something they did all the repairs and the car looks in good shape. Its on sale for 12500 with a salvage title. should I stick with the dealer r32 or save the money and go with the second.

heres picks of the car and the link to the craigslist posting.

Yeah that is alot of money.
I would keep shopping, buying the first car you see isnt always the best, buy what makes you feel the most comfortable.
It took me 4 weeks of non stop (and i mean non stop) searching to find the right car/deal, i got what i wanted for the price i was willing to pay and in the end i couldnt be happier

Re: Need Help WTB (bolide)

Yeah that's way too much man. I bought my RS .:R last June for $13,750 it had 76k on the clock, perfect condition other than a little crack on one of the side skirts and a missing lower center grille. It also came w/ a full VW service history, a clean title and I was the 3rd owner since new.
I live in Tennessee and had to drive to Chicago to collect it, but imo it was well worth it. Good look in your search though! Check out the classifieds section, I'm sure there are some better deals to be had that the ones you've found so far. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I disagree, I was just driving up to Idaho and noticed my RS .:R32 in some random city and just pulled over and bought it straight up. 60k miles $17,000 only had a scratch on the side door bumpers and driver side mirror cover was cracked no biggy. Best buy I ever made.

Re: (Juicy_R32)

The Radiator and AC Condenser were damaged but magically the cooling fans with resistors that can go bad even when brand new were ok..?

Too many things seem wrong with this picture.

Re: (Juicy_R32)

I'd keep searching for someone trying to sell their R personally, it could very well be worth the wait. I got mine back in may '09 for 18,750 with just under 30k. But that also included over 3k in engine and suspension upgrades, new rubber on the aristos, and an extra set of wheels with all-seasons for the wintertime

Really appreciate all the help you guys are giving. after hearing all your guys comments i think im going to try and wait to see if i can find a better deal. Its just kind of hard because .:Rs are so rare. I just got my loan application approved nut i think if i wait it will be worth it. Im going to keep looking on classifieds to see if i can find a good one in Cali. thanks everyone.
