Hello,
I have a problem with a 2002 Jetta (2.8L VR6 - or V6?) slowly loosing coolant. The leak seems to be localized to one part that I cannot identify - my guess would be a water pump, but I don't know what the water pump on this car looks like.

The "leaky thingy" in question is located on the driver side of the engine, roughly midway between the firewall and the front bumper.
I have a couple of questions:
1) What is this thing called?
2) How bad this looks (in terms of what can I expect in repair costs - if it is possible to tell just looking at the picture, of course)?

it s higly possible that your thermostat housing and/or your coolant pipe is leaking .....
how to change that ?
