could be...i dont know jack about turbos but that thing has to be DAMN hot to glow like that..figured thatd only happen when its being made

yep looks like a turbo after some real nice heavy driving. that is why they tell ya to keep a turboed car running for at least a minute after a drive so the oil keeps flowing through the turbo and lets it cool down a bit.

yeah I've heard about that on a stock 1.8t turbo....followed by all of the welds breaking
