Road Sign Hacked by Racists in Miami

Motorists driving along the Palmetto Expressway on Tuesday were greeted with an anti-immigrant message on a digital message board in a road construction sign.

Someone had hacked into the controls for the sign and reprogrammed it to flash ``NO LATINOS'' and ``NO TACOS.'' It was disconnected and repaired around 6 a.m.

Crews returned the sign to its intended message -- warning motorists that Northwest 25th Street would be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Is the writer at the Miami Herald that dense? I really don't believe that was the intent... it's a Pro immigrant hack job... Trying to say NO LATINOS = NO TACOS . this very same poster has been flashed at all kinds of pro immigration parades for the last couple years...

Maybe so, but they need to work on that slogan. It's misleading and inaccurate.

NO TACOS = racist? seriously?
You would think a racist capable of hacking a sign would come up with something more obviously malicious.:screwy:

Funny story about road signs like that - I was driving back from Montreal in Canada, and there was a sign like that that read "MIKE" in a fancy font and took up the entire sign. I laughed. :)

.. but racist comments like that are NOT funny in the least bit.
