I don't even think people know what racist or racism really means. It is so overused that it has lost all meaning. Most of the time I hear this word, the context eludes to their intention of using 'bigot' or 'prejudice' but rarely 'racist'

In somewhat related news since it is 2010 and that time of decade for another census, according to the US Census Bureau Hispanics and Latinos are not defined as a race--instead they are defined as an ethnic group.
