If so what was done how is it running?
In the end the cost is about the same so your first argument is wrong. If you can find a way to predetonate on E85 with your low compression 8v LMK. LOL I dont even think it would be possible.why would you even want to?![]()
less energy content per gallon.
I guess if you had high compression, to prevent predet...
why would you want to?![]()
Personally I'd have to drive over 50 miles one way to fill up on e85, and even then it's a whopping 45 cents a gallon cheaper. 3$ at 30 mpg = .10$ a mile 2.55$ at 25 mpg = .102$ a mile. A friend of mine went from 14 mpg in his pickup to 7mpg when he tried ethanol on a cross country road trip hauling his trailer. e85 was not 1/2 the cost of gasoline. He will never use it again. besides the fact that ethanol is a "renewable" fuel. It raises the price of all things corn related, including milk, steak, perhaps even goat cheese, if you're into that sort of thing. Besides the fact that "renewable" means it takes about 3 times the energy to grow corn and turn it into fuel, than you get out of the fuel you created. you wanna save the world? hug a tree and, buy a diesel. In the end the cost is about the same so your first argument is wrong.
perhaps I was unclear in my first post. Unless you have predet issues in a high compression engine, why run higher octane? again, less energy content. If you can find a way to predetonate on E85 with your low compression 8v LMK. LOL I dont even think it would be possible.
^ it's wonderfully corrosive. That said this stuff is not very good for fuel distributors so I would net use it with CIS.
