If you ever find yourself in Germany, i highly suggest you visit the Nürburgring, aka: "The Ring"

Hands down one of the coolest race tracks in the world.

approximately 14 miles of pure racing awesomeness, complete with super long straights, crazy high speed blind corners and beautiful scenery everywhere.

And for a nominal fee of 20 Eur, you can take a lap in whatever car you showed up in :)
(as far as i know, the only place in the world where you can do this)

Which for me happened to be a rental volvo C70 :p
butt slow, but that didn't stop me from having some fun!
took 2 laps just to see the track, best half hour ive ever had behind the wheel
Bikes and weekend racers passed me like i wasn't even moving, but it was still a blast.

It was super awesome, like Disney Land for big kids :D
really wish i had more time for more laps tho, i would have done that all day long if i could have!

I'll work on the videos tonight

psssh... did it in Gran Torismo... it was alright.

...hahaha kidding. Man that would have been SOOO awesome to do that. I've always wanted to do that. I lived there for 6 yrs, but I was only 13 at the time. (Dad was in the Army).

Did they do some kind of inspection, did you need a helmet or cage?

When I was in the former republic of Yugoslavia, on a UN tour during the Baltic war (1992-93). A few of us on leave rented a 91 Golf and drove from Slovenia to Italy. It was a blast, we had it around 190 ripping down the Autobahn.

...I don't know "everything"... I don't know how to speak Norwegian.

...venn.:)
