Tiguan Downpipe Installed Photo

Hey all I had my downpipe installed way back in January and this is the only photo I manage to track down. The installer, AchTuning, did a small article and the link to it is here as well. On there they have a picture of the factory downpipe as well. The custom work came on the bracket that attaches to the 2 red mounts and the brace that you can hardly see in the top right corner. I have more in depth information about it all in this thread.

I am getting my downpipe suitable for the 4Mo Tig on Tuesday.

Are you getting one customized for the 4motion or is someone producing one?

APR has done one that I know of for the 4mo Tig here in Australia, not sure if they're actually in production or not though and hideously expensive, around $2k from memory.

It is a prototype made for the 4Motion Tig's by APR in Australia.
Not sure if it is in production yet but it is about 2k and will net you 10kw.

Yes, that is correct.
The law of inverse car power is at work.

Also the fact that Australia is quite a small VAG community and so there isn't that many customers willing to purchase a system so the costs are higher.

I will get more info on teh APR DP today and give you guys an update.

Someone should see with the Golf R DP will work for the 4-motion tigs. If not just sell it, you will get your money back. 42DD has one for under $450.

It is a diferrent system as they use a KO4 on the Golf R and it utilises a forked downpipe form memory.

same fitting....my tiguan was k04'ed and i used the same DP as the stock k03.....

I know the k03 and k04 are the same but will the 42 draft design mk6 downpipe work on the fwd tiguan?

Worked for mine. $200 eBay down pipe from a mk6 gti. Just had to cut 3" off the end. Just a little to long.

Exact same situation for me. Except I also had to shorten the prongs that engage with the exhaust hanger up front. They were a little too long, and kept the two pieces of the downpipe from engaging flush with eachother.

But Im afraid of a CEL going off if i install a downpipe. Does anyone know if i can rid with a VAGCOM or if a unitronic tune will delete the code? Thanks

I used a 42 Draft Designs spacer and no CEL. I've driven about 500 miles on it with no problem.

if you have a downpipe get the stage 2 flash with the testpipe file.

Which sensor did you use the spacer with the Tiguan has 3 o2 sensors
